WorkLife FAQ
Home  >  About WorkLife  >  WorkLife FAQ

QWhy is a focus on our member's life at work so Important?
ABecause it's where your members are...they spend most of their time at work. Where and how they work influences every other aspect of their life. When your members begin to mature and comprehend the relevance of their faith life outside the walls of the church, and that their faith belongs in their work, then your church will see the transformation of your people, their families, your church and your city.

QWhat prevents my members from being effective disciples at work?
AChallenging work life Issues disrupt and distract us from our walk with God. The issues can be gut wrenching, including struggling with work & family balance, sexual temptation at work, dealing with compensation frustration, wondering how to walk in truth under pressure to do otherwise, or being unsure if God even values our work. It is easy to feel vulnerable and alone.

QWhat is Maestro WorkLife Coaching System?
AThe Maestro WorkLife Coaching System is the engine which supports working believers in the WorkLife Rhythm Process - empowering them to establish and practice a daily work rhythm that brings glory to God.

This System provides practical 24/7 "spiritual coaching" to individuals, guiding them to identify and navigate their most pressing challenges at work from a biblical perspective.

QDoes the Maestro WorkLife Coaching System have a Biblical Foundation?
AWorkLife Coaching within the system is guided by 6 WorkLife Principles that ground the process with holistic WorkLife theology that covers a full spectrum of a person's work life.

QHow does Maestro WorkLife Coaching achieve sustainable results?
AThose using Maestro, the WorkLife Coaching System will embark on a simple process known as the WorkLife Rhythm Process - empowering them to establish and practice a work rhythm that glorifies God. It involves three continual components for participants:
  1. Assess - the Top 30 WorkLife Issues and identify any "rhythm busters" that may be keeping them from their optimal Work Rhythm
  2. Grow - in their ability to approach and respond to these Work Issues in a practical, biblical manner
  3. Navigate - their work situations, using proven tools and resources to strengthen and enhance their work rhythm
This is a perpetual process which continually supports working believers and guides them to navigate situations which can and do challenge them at work. The system is designed to be flexible and timely as the most pressing issues may evolve from day to day - sometimes life brings circumstances which suddenly bring an issue into play that wasn't even on our radar the day before.

QAre both small groups and individuals served?
AYes -- the entire Maestro WorkLife Coaching system, while interactive and personal to individuals, also includes resources for small groups. For example, there are six studies (one for each of the six work life principles) with five modules each that can be used for either personal or small group study.

QAre High School and College Age Students benefited?
AYes. Young people entering the job market are in desperate need of Biblical perspective in identifying their spiritual gifts and the vocation for which God specifically designed and gifted them.

QDo our people feel like the Maestro WorkLife Coaching System is just one more church activity they need to "do"?
APeople consistently remark that the coaching solution is a wonderful gift and affirmation from their church to them in the midst of what they already do--work. Your members have the option to unsubscribe from the Maestro Coaching Sessions with each email. Historically less than 1% elects to do so.
